Fakenham travelled to Norwich Medics for this EC2 fixture hoping for a good performance but aware that everyone had been at the funeral of Craig Prior (18yrs old) the previous day. The team were full of emotion which was hoped would spur them on to produce some great rugby and Fakenham started well and contained the rampaging Medics backs and launching some great attacks of their own, the pace of the game was incredible. After 12 minutes of the game, an uncharacteristic missed tackle by the Fakenham captain left a hole at centre and medics took full advantage to sprint 55 metres to score under the posts and convert (7-0). Although Fakenham played well, similar moves ripped the Fakenham defence apart and the pace of the Medics backs meant no cover tackle could make the ground. In a further 9 minutes Fakenham found themselves 21-0 down. Even at this stage Fakenham had not done too much wrong but were well behind and things got worse as they conceded two more tries with one converted, 33-0 at half time.
Fakenham vowed to rally and change their intensity and try to knock Medics off
