Dereham v Fakenham

Dereham 37 Fakenham 7

Fakenham played their first Eastern Counties 2 North League game of the season away to Dereham at the weekend, producing a most lack lustre start to the league program losing to a well organised and far more determined Dereham outfit. Dereham had lost two players to red cards in the first half and played 55mins with only 13 players - but they played with far more heart and a much better approach than Fakenham. The only bright spot for Fakenham was a try to Joe Bane-Young whereas Dereham could boast 3 tries from ex Fakenham winger Josh Gee amongst some good performances all round. Fakenham will have to improve quickly as there are other tough games to come within the next 4 weeks.
Fakenham will travel to West Norfolk this Saturday to play their second team in the EC2 North division kick off is 3pm.
